Michael Filippone is an actor living in Los Angeles California.

Born and raised in rural southern New Jersey, Michael spent his childhood exploring the pine forests of his hometown.

Throughout high school, Michael wanted to be a professional musician and songwriter, which led him to the world renowned music school Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, where he majored in Drumset Performance, however, partway through he changed his major and now holds a degree in Music Business.

Michael is an avid adventurer who loves to spend time outdoors camping, hiking, rock climbing, and surfing.

Indoors, Michael likes to write and read. His favorite things to read are novels and short fiction from independent publishers, as well as international literature in translation. He also loves watching films – particularly classics and foreign films.

Michael has had the immense privilege of studying acting under some of the top teachers in Los Angeles. He studies privately under actor & director Chris Game (Veep, The Young and the Restless). Michael has spent several years training in scene study at Lifebook Acting Academy, which Backstage Magazine ranked as one of the top 5 acting schools in Los Angeles, and has honed his audition technique under the guidance of Annie Grindlay in her advanced-level class.

An avid improv performer, Michael is an ongoing student at Upright Citizens Brigade and The Groundlings.  Michael has had the pleasure of studying improv & comedy with some of the funniest people around, including Pam Murphy (Key & Peele, 30 Rock, Conan), Madeline Walter (Weeds, Garfunkel and Oates, Childrens Hospital), Fran Gillespie (Kroll Show, Comedy Bang! Bang!, SNL writer), Kate Frisbee (The Middle, 2 Broke Girls), Todd Fasen (Key & Peele, Reno 911, The Goldbergs) and Julie Brister (New Girl, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Mindy Project, Transparent).

He has also studied commercial acting technique under Killian McHugh, Mike Pointer, and Terry Berland.

Michael has starred in a film by director Jake Yuzna, winner of the Teddy Jury Prize at the Berlin Film Festival, and has appeared in works by critically acclaimed directors such as Gregory Kohn and Justin Mitchell.
